Golshifteh Farahani who co-starred in the film Body of Lies along with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, moved to Paris, France approximately one year ago.
Not long after his move, Farahani then posing nude in the magazine Le Figaro Madame. He did pose nude in protest of the ultra-conservative cultural policies that curb the Iranian film industry.
"I was told by officials of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic rule, that Iran does not need actors or actresses. They told me to menawarkn my artistic abilities in other places," said Farahani as quoted by The Independent, Thursday (01/19/2012).
Not all parties railed her decision to pose naked. Fans were praised for daring to resist the subject is considered taboo among Muslim women, especially in Iran.
While Farahani can freely pour artistic ability. Different things actually experienced by Saeed Malekpour. 35-year-old man, was sentenced to death after claiming to have involvement in making pornographic websites.
Malekpour was arrested in October 2008 and taken to Evin Prison in Tehran. He also had locked up in isolation for a year without access to lawyers or given without clear charges.
